Legend has it that the foundation of the Monastery in Brevnov was based on a historical meeting between the 2nd Bishop Adalbert of Prague and Duke Boleslav II. They met in a place they called “God in a dream” which is the source of the stream where the Monastery stands today.
Gradually over the last 20 years the Monastery has turned into a multipurpose space. The extensive garden has become a popular destination for walking while the Monastery still functions with a community of Benedictine monks. Intercatering operates a traditional Czech restaurant and the Eco-hotel Adalbert on the premises while also hosting numerous social events throughout the year.
